  Makita UX01G Split Shaft XGT 40Vmax Garden Multi Tool | 2 x 2.5Ah Batteries

  
  Designed to accept a large range of different attachments all for use within the garden, this split-shaft multi-tool is extremely versatile. It is suitable for professional use, and can be used to replace at least five individual garden power tools including a string trimmer, brush cutter, pole chainsaw, hedge trimmer and garden edger.
  
  The attachments are the same ones used with the Makita DUX18 single 18v machine and DUX60 twin 18v machine. The UX01 weighs over 5kg less than the DUX60 while delivering two-thirds more power. The UX01 is truly a professional grade machine, and saves you space in the van, as well as maintenance costs on different individual motors.
  
  The UX01GD201 kit is supplied along with two 2.5 Amp-hour 40Vmax battery packs using Lithium-ion cell technology. You also get a DC40RA high speed charger that takes less than half-an-hour to fully recharge each battery. The UX01 uses the latest DC brushless motor to give fantastic efficiency and torque, as well as having supporting electronics that detect a high load and deliver more torque to maintain a constant speed. The same technology is also used to detect a jam, at which point the tool shuts down to protect the user from over-rotation.
  
  Changing between attachments couldn't be easier, only requiring the turning of a lever, and no need for additional hand tools. As well as the normal attachments available for strimming, hedge cutting, branch cutting etc, there is also a one metre long extension pole available that is ideal for use with the chainsaw and hedge cutter. This extension attachment even makes it safer to use the chainsaw, as it takes it further away from the user - however normal safety procedures should always be followed when using any garden power tool.
