  Makita Brushless String Trimmer/Brush Cutter | 40Vmax XGT | UR006G Bare Unit

  
  This brush cutter has a new style offset bike handle that can be easily put together and taken apart without needing tools. This makes it much easier to store in the van where it can take up less space. This version of the strimmer is not supplied with a battery or charger, meaning a lower price for those who don't need more 40V XGT batteries.
  
  As this is a modern electronic garden power tool, it benefits from several special features including AFT, ADT, soft start, reverse rotation and electronic brake. AFT or Active Feedback sensing Technology detects a jam or similar even and shuts power to the motor off to protect the user. ADT or Active torque Drive Technology monitors the load on the motor and increases torque to compensate when required.
  
  The ingress protection rating of IPX4 means you can use this out in the rain, for those jobs that have an all-weather deadline. The brushless motor is extremely quiet and efficient, allowing for excellent runtime per battery used. However if you have the fast charger, it can fully recharge a battery often quicker than it can take to deplete one with the line trimmer.
