  The Black & Decker STC1820PC cordless strimmer is the ideal tool use in both professional commercial or home domestic environments. The strimmer integrates a smart power selector with runtime extender that offers variable power modes; like power increase for tougher overgrown areas or power reduction for lighter applications and a better battery runtime. A 28mm automatic single line fed system saves time and effort and provides a fast cutting action for the efficient completion of large areas. The lithium ion technology of the 18 volt 2.0Ah batteries are longer lasting with minimal fade discharge cutting up to 2500 L/m2 in a single charge. The strimmers new and improved flip to edge mechanism means you can now convert from trimming to wheeled edging mode with ease. Additional features include a high powered E-Drive gear system to power through tough areas and an ergonomic comfort grip with an adjustable secondary handle and telescopic tube gives greater comfort, control and accuracy.

  I'm of an age to be able to say that Black & Decker have been producing solid, reliable products for at least 50 years and this strimmer is an example of why they are still very much in business. It may not be the lightest or most elegant cordless strimmer out there, but it does what it says on the tin. It's extendable to suit users of differing heights; it swivels and locks in position to work vertically for edging; it has an automatic spool feeder; the battery is a standard size to fit this B & D machine and other Black and Decker cordless products and it's 2 ampere hours should give a reasonable amount of working time from the available 18 volts. An exclusive feature and a relatively inexpensive bonus is it's compatibility with the CM100-XJ 3-in-1 Lawn Mower Deck Attachment, which transforms it into a mini mower. I can't wait for the grass to start growing to put it through its paces.
