  This excellent power tool allows you to save time and money in the long run, especially compared to owning and operating several different garden power tools. Whether you are replacing all your petrol machines or upgrading from an 18 Volt system, this new XGT 40Vmax system from Makita is designed for professional users, and has the specification to back that up. Even when compared to Makita's own 36v system, this has fantastic improvements. For a start, it only requires a single 40V battery pack to operate - saving over 5kg compared to that. The UX01G uses the same attachment ecosystem as the DUX18, DUX60 and EX machines. While the initial outlay might be more if using just a single garden power tool such as the strimmer, as soon as you add a second attachment like the hedge trimmer and compare that to the price of two equivalent individual garden power tools, you're starting to saving money. 40Vmax XGT batteries and tools are all interchangeable with each other, allowing you to take a 2.5 Amp-hour battery from the LS002GD203 mitre saw kit, and use it with this UX01G garden multi-tool. Each of the 2.5Ah batteries only takes 28 minutes to charge if combined with the quick-charging unit. Changing attachments with the multi-tool is easy, and doesn't require any hand tools thanks to the built-in lever.
