Makita 18V Cordless Strimmer | 1 x 5.0Ah Battery
This brush cutter from Makita has large side "bike" handles that allow for excellent control over the machine during use, and are the preferred choice of professionals due to the ergonomics. The machine is supplied with a nylon string cutting head that has a cutting diameter of 300mm and quickly removes areas of grass and weeds.
The speed of the machine can be set using the controls on the right side handlebar which also has the two stage trigger. If the machine ever jams up, the Active Feedback Sensing Technology will halt the motor quickly using the electric brake, and you can then use the reverse switch to run the head backwards for a short time to get things untangled.
This machine features a brushless DC motor that operates at 18 volts from the supplied 5.0 Amp-hour LXT battery pack. Brushless motors are much more efficient than traditional brushed motors and also don't require the same maintenance, making them a much better choice for the busy gardener or homeowner.
