Very similar to the HR003G, this model features the addition of a Quick-Change Chuck, making this more versatile than the basic model. The HR004G runs at up to 40 volts allowing much more torque than previous 18 volt versions. The brushless motor is more than capable of taking the extra power while still requiring less maintenance than older brushed motors. For a better user experience, this drill features Makita Anti-Vibration Technology, with an isolated rear handle, and also a soft no load feature that brings the motor speed down if there is no load applied to the drill. These, combined with the advanced side handle, make using the HR004G easy, even for long periods of time. The drill can also be used in rotation-stop mode for light demo work or chiselling.
