This fantastic kit includes three of DEWALT's best selling power tools. The DCD796 Combination Hammer drill features an all metal transmission that improves the tool durability and life. The DCH273 Rotary Hammer Drill features a quick change SDS Plus bit holder which is compatible with a large number of brands of drill bits. The DCG405 Angle Grinder takes 125mm diameter discs and features a powerful brushless motor which gets the most runtime possible from the batteries.
The combi drill has been designed for use by the professional tradesman and reduces user fatigue thanks to the lightweight and compact design plus the functionally ergonomic handle. It weighs in at just 1.7 kilograms and is only 19cm in length, allowing it to be used in tight spaces without getting in the way. It can also be used easily in unlit spaces due to the super bright LED work light which evenly spreads light at the area in front of the chuck.
The SDS drill has a long runtime brushless motor which allows over 90 holes to be drilled with each 5.0Ah Lithium-ion battery. The DCH273 has a surprisingly compact design considering the high power output. The drill can be used in different modes, one of which is rotation-stop mode which turns the machine into a light power chisel for tasks such as tile removal.
The angle grinder features a slide switch on the side for better ergonomics and usability. It also has a slimline design with rubber overmolding that improves user comfort. The high performance motor allows up to 69 cuts of 1/2" rebar on one battery.
The kit includes two cases for the tools, the first of which is the TSTAK-I. This is a combination power tool and screw/bit holder with an additional compartment at the top. The second case is a TSTAK II, one of the most popular cases for its standard size and ability to stack in the middle of two other TSTAK cases. The kit comes with two batteries which are both rated at 18 volts with a capacity of 5.0 Amp-hours. These batteries can be charged with the included multi-voltage XR intelligent charger which automatically changes to trickle mode once the batteries are at full capacity.
