A premium six piece power tool kit that contains all brushless motors for fantastic runtime, reliability, efficiency and power. The kit is supplied in two ToughSystem cases which are tough enough to be chucked down the stairs as well as being fully water-sealed. There is also a mains charger to keep the batteries included. There are three batteries in the kit, which each have a capacity of 5.0 Amp-hours. The battery packs have a state-of-charge indicator that shows you how much charge is left in the battery at the press of a button. All the power tools in this kit can be registered for a 3 year manufacturer warranty if the tools are registered in your MyDeWalt account within 30 days of purchase.
The first tool is the DCL040 torch, using the latest LED and reflector technology to brightly illuminate the target. It has the same sort of body grip as the drills and drivers, making for an ergonomic tool that can be hand-held, or set on a surface taking advantage of the battery weight for stability.
Next is the angle grinder, model DCG405, this has the capacity for a 125mm diameter disc and can cut, grind or sand a massive range of materials. The tool itself has an electronic brake that helps to bring the blade to a stop as quickly as possible for safer operation, and the 2-position side handle gives the user more control.
The DCS334 is a tool-free jigsaw in that you don't need a tool to change the blade and don't need a tool to adjust the bevel angle of the shoe. It also features a dust blower which is extremely effective in clearing the dust away from the cut path, resulting in cleaner and more accurate cuts, especially when following guides.
Then we have the DCS565 circular saw, taking a 165mm diameter blade and boasting impressive levels of torque especially when combined with DeWalt's own 165mm x 24T ultra thin kerf saw blades. This makes it easily capable of the maximum cut depth of 55mm straight, or 42mm bevelled at 45 degrees, with a maximum bevel of 50°.
For screw and nut driving is the DCF887 impact driver that can deliver 3,800 impacts per minute - that's more than 60 per second. This impacting action is what allows such a light and compact machine (at just 134mm long & 900 grams) to deliver a maximum torque level of 205 Newton-metres.
Finally is the pièce de résistance of this kit, the DCD996, a combi hammer drill that has so much torque that the side handle is longer than the tool itself. You can drill up to 16mm in masonry, 15mm in metal and an impressive 55mm in timber.
