This two piece cordless power tool kit contains the two most popular machines in Makita's arsenal. The Makita 18v impact driver, the DTD153, features an extremely compact design and with one of the included 5.0 Amp-hour batteries attached feels perfectly balanced in the hand. It has a powerful LED work light to brightly illuminate dimly lit areas each time the trigger is pressed. That trigger has pressure sensitive components that can vary the speed and impact rate allowing the user more control.
The combination hammer drill in this kit is the DHP485 which, like the impact driver, features a high performance brushless DC motor that not only requires lower maintenance, but also uses a higher efficiency internal design to allow longer battery runtime and lower component wearout. It has a single sleeve keyless chuck for one-handed operation that is 13mm in size making drilling 13mm holes in masonry and steel a breeze. The high torque of this machine allows you to drill up to 38mm diameter holes in wood with an appropriate drill bit such as a spade or forstner bit.
This kit comes packaged in Makita's branded Systainer kitbox, the MAKPAC Connector Case Type 3, big enough for the two included power tools as well as the multi-voltage charger and two 5.0 Amp-hour capacity Lithium-ion batteries.
