  This cordless lawn mower from Makita brings excellent power thanks to the 36V brushless motor which is driven by combining two commonly available 18V LXT batteries in series. It is supplied in this version without any batteries, which allows Makita to keep the cost lower for tradesmen and gardeners who already own other tools in the 18V LXT range. There are four slots for batteries in two banks, with a selection switch that lets you swap which bank is being used to power the mower. The DLM530 has a tough steel deck that is extra wide at 53.4cm so cuts a wide path with each pass.
  
  The machine has many advantages that come with battery powered Makita power tools such as soft start for a less jarring experience and constant speed control that detects the load on the motor and increases power to compensate. To set the height of the lawnmower blade there is a single easy-to-use lever that changes the height of all four wheels at once from as low as 20mm to as high as 100mm. The lawnmower is ideal for gardens up to 2,000 square metres and has a quad battery gauge so you can tell how much power you have left without having to open the battery compartment.
