  Makita 115mm Brushless 18V LXT Angle Grinder | DGA463 Bare Unit

  This angle grinder from Makita uses a highly efficient brushless DC motor that allows longer runtime from each 18V battery, while also requiring less maintenance than a traditional brushed motor. It can take discs up to a diameter of 115mm and a maximum thickness of 7.2mm. The grinder runs at up to 8,500 rpm while outputting a low noise sound pressure of only 79 dB(A) and low user vibration allowing all day usage. The grinder can also run as slow as 3,000 rpm thanks to the variable speed control dial. To protect the user from injury if the material grabs the blade, Makita's Active Feedback Sensing Technology automatically shuts the motor down. Another safety feature that is very important with cordless tools that have a lock-on switch is the anti-restart feature - This means that if the tool is left in the running position without a battery, and a battery is inserted, it will not dangerously spring into life without first switching it off and on again.
