  Compatible with Starlock, Starlock Plus and Starlock Max accessories, this compact machine from Makita is essential for builders and carpenters on site, especially those carrying out renovation work. Multi-tools have a unique cutting style that allows them to remove material with minimal-to-no damage to surrounding trim, such as skirting boards and architrave.
  
  As well as being extremely compact, this machine boasts an impressively low vibration level of only 2.5 m/s² meaning it could be used for a full working day without safety breaks being required.
  
  The accessory can be easily changed without the need for tools by simply turning the release lever away from the body. When installing a new accessory, you can place it at any increment of 30 degrees around 360 degrees to allow you to get the perfect angle on the work.
  
  The speed of the DTM52 can be adjusted between 6 settings with the lowest being 10,000 oscillations per minute, and the maximum being 20,000 opm. The brushless DC motor allows excellent cordless runtime from each of your 18V LXT batteries.
  
  This version of the tool is the '-Z', bare unit, without batteries or charger for a lower cost to the Makita enthusiast who already owns other LXT power tools.
