  A powerful angle grinder that can accept discs up to 9 inches in diameter (230mm). One of the fantastic advantages that this has over your old corded equivalent is the disc brake which slows the disc down much faster - not only is that safer, but it also means you can free up your hand quicker when setting the tool down.
  
  There are two inclusions with this grinder that are excellent quality of life improvements for the regular grinder user. The first is the side handle, which as usual can be moved to the right or left, but this handle actually has a semi-flexible section which acts as a vibration isolator. The next is the FixTec flange nut. This allows you to change discs out without needing the wrench.
  
  The angle of the guard can be easily changed without the need for tools, simply by pressing a small lever at the front of the guard. The air intake for the motor is protected by a removable mesh filter. This allows you to quickly and easily blow it out to restore performance and cooling to the motor.
  
  The FLAG230XPDB is naturally a two handed machine, so they've moved the trigger rearwards at the thinner part of the handle. It is a two-stage paddle type switch, but is much closer in design to a traditional trigger that you would find on a drill versus the normal grinder switch.
