  Designed to be suitable for both professional users and homeowners, this powerful machine is fitted with a 350mm bar that gives it an excellent balance between cutting capacity and compactness. This version of the saw is supplied without batteries or a charger, making it a better price for those who are already invested in Makita's LXT ecosystem. The DUC355 takes two 18V LXT batteries at the same time, and combines them in series to deliver 36 volts of power to the high quality brushless motor. Brushless motors are an excellent option for cordless power tools when compared to traditional brushed motors as they are more efficient allowing for greater battery life, and they also require less maintenance. This machine has constant speed control that dynamically detects the load on the motor and increases power delivery to maintain the cutting performance. It also features a kickback brake to protect the user from injury, and an electric chain brake to help stop the blade quickly when the trigger is released.
