Makita have released a fantastic new range of 40Vmax powertools that take advantage of the increasing improvements in Lithium-ion battery technologies. The new "XGT" range of batteries and power tools will run alongside their successful "LXT" range of 18 volt tools, which has been supporting trades since 2005. The new 40Vmax XGT tools have been developed from the ground up for use by professional tradesmen, and many of the powertools in the range feature high performance brushless DC motors. BL motors operate more efficiently and therefore produce longer battery life, while also requiring less maintenance than a traditional brushed motor.
To celebrate the release of 40Vmax, Makita UK are offering a free 40Vmax 2.5 Amp-hour Lithium-ion battery to customers who purchase a qualifying XGT power tool kit with a GD101, GD102 or GD103 suffix. This battery can be quickly charged in only 28 minutes with the DC40RA Fast Charger, meaning you can use the tool while charging your second battery for those heavy tool-use jobs.
Please note, this offer is only available to orders delivered to the UK. Each of the eligible kits is supplied with an ADP10 charging adaptor that basically turns the included DC40RA 40V charger into a DC18RC to allow you to charge your existing LXT 18v batteries at similar speeds to the DC18RC.
