  Makita 40V Max Cordless Compound Mitre Saw

  This sliding compound mitre saw is the back-to-wall type with reoriented slide rails which come forward towards the user instead of out towards the back of the machine. This allows it to be placed on a workbench right up against a wall without needing extra room for the sliding mechanism.
  
  The LS002 is part of Makita's new XGT range of high power cordless powertools which operate at 40 Volts Max for corded equivalent performance without the restrictions of corded. This version of the tool is supplied without batteries or charger, making it a great addition to your arsenal of existing XGT tools, for a lower cost than the kit form.
  
  The handle of the saw is inline with the blade which reduces torsion on the frame of the saw, therefore extending the lifetime of the accuracy of cuts. Designed as a portable saw, it only weighs in at 16.4kg, and has a conveniently positioned carry handle when the blade is locked down.
  
  For dust extraction, this is fully compatible with all Makita dust extraction systems. It also has the ability to connect wirelessly to those systems that have Makita's AWS or Auto-Start Wireless System that uses Bluetooth to communicate between the saw and extractor, starting extraction when the saw is in use.
  
  The saw takes a 216mm diameter saw blade with a bore diameter of 30mm, and is capable of cutting 70 x 312mm at 0° x 0°. However the machine can also cut bevels, mitres or a combination of both, a compound cut. It can mitre 60 degrees both directions and bevel up to 48 degrees in both directions.
