  Makita 165mm Rail Saw | 40Vmax XGT | SP001G Bare Unit

  
  An alternative to the DSP600 (which operates on 2x18v batteries), the SP001G only requires a single XGT battery to operate, as they are rated at 40Vmax power. This allows the machine to be much lighter overall, while still giving very similar performance to the corded SP6000J.
  
  This version of the saw, the SP001GZ03 kit, is only supplied with the 165mm blade and wireless start unit in a tool box. It does not come with batteries or a charger to keep the price lower for those who don't want or need to pay for more batteries when they already own other XGT tools with batteries.
  
  One of the best features of this saw is the score-cut function, allowing you to quickly and easily start your cut with an approximately 2mm deep cut, reducing the chance of splintering to almost zero. You then toggle the depth stopper and can make the full depth cut up to the depth you have set.
  
  This saw is compatible with, and supplied with, the AWS wireless start modules. This little chip is inserted into the saw, which then lets it communicate with compatible AWS dust extractors. So when you run the saw, your extractor starts up automatically, and then shuts off again once you've finished your cut.
