  Makita 8.0 Amp-hour 40Vmax Battery Pack | 191X65-8

  
  This battery pack uses ever-improving Lithium-ion battery technology. It outputs a nominal Voltage of 36 Volts, and a maximum of 40 Volts. This allows it to power heavy duty power tools and garden tools in Makita's ever-growing range of XGT machines. These battery packs are much more compact than two LXTs of the same total capacity, meaning your cordless tools can be lighter and much easier to use. This battery however is designed to give you as much runtime as possible in a single package. It would be ideal for machines which are already expected to be heavy such as rotary hammer drills, cutoff saws, chipping hammers and larger bike-handle brush cutters. It would also be perfect for table or track top machines like mitre saws and plunge saws. Other great applications would be Makita's new innovative cordless kettle. The battery has an ingress protection rating of IPX4, and has added drop protection due to the larger capacity.
