  Makita Cordless Twin-18V 36V 12" Chainsaw | 2 x 5.0Ah Batteries

  
  A much safer alternative to petrol chainsaws is Makita's DUC-range of machines. They have features not possible with conventional chainsaws such as an electric chain brake to bring it to a stop much quicker as well as kickback control that detects when a kickback event occurs.
  
  This version of the saw has a 30cm or 12 inch long bar which is compact yet still powerful enough to deal with tough tasks thanks to the 36 Volt DC motor. The motor is supplied with 36 volts by combining the two 18V batteries together in series, getting greater power than would be possible with a single 18V battery, while still supporting the massive LXT battery ecosystem.
  
  The saw is supplied with two 5.0 Amp-hour capacity batteries and also comes with a dual port battery charger allowing you to get up and running again as quick as 45 minutes after both batteries are drained.
