This pole saw from Makita has an excellent reach with a telescoping shaft that gives a length between approximately 2.6m up to 3.8 metres. Adding in the user's own height, that will give you a reach of up to an impressive 5 metres, normally only possible using something like a cherry picker or other lifting personnel lifting equipment. We expect this to be extremely popular with professional landscape gardeners as well as local council workers. The DUA301 is especially great because it operates that 300mm long bar with comparatively low noise versus an equivalently powered petrol machine. The saw is powered from two 18V LXT batteries together in series to drive the 36V DC motor unit, and this version of the kit (PG2) comes with two larger capacity 6.0 Amp-hour battery packs, but you can run this from other sizes of batteries if needed.
