  Makita Telescopic 4.0 Metre Pole Saw & 30cm Bar | UA004G Bare Unit

  
  Designed to run from a single 40Vmax XGT Lithium-ion battery pack, this pole saw from Makita has an extremely long reach at 4 metres. It is telescopic so can be reduced to just 2.6 metres in length for less extreme jobs.
  
  The head of the saw has a sleek and slimline design, with thought even put into the oil reservoir cap, to reduce the chances that it will get snagged high up in the tree branches. There is a branch hook integrated into the head for when you want to tug at a branch that isn't falling on its own.
  
  In order to keep the cost lower for those already invested in the incredible XGT 40Vmax power tool ecosystem, this version is supplied without any batteries or charger, allowing you to use your own. If you don't already have any XGT batteries, you can purchase this with two 2.5Ah batteries by searching our site for 'UA004G'.
  
  A chainsaw at the end of a 3 metre bar is naturally much safer for the operator than a normal chainsaw, but to further mitigate risk, the tool features AFT or Active Feedback sensing Technology. This monitors the motor speed and can detect a kickback event in which case it shuts down to protect the user.
