The next generation of affordable high performance cordless circular saw is the DCS565, taking a 165mm diameter saw blade and giving you the ability to cut to a depth of 55mm. It features a brushless DC motor that boosts cordless battery runtime massively over traditional brushed motors. Brushless motors also require less user maintenance and are more durable in dusty environments.
The DCS565 is extremely well balanced as well as being lightweight at only 2.8 kilos, allowing you to use it for long periods of time with minimal fatigue. It can bevel up to 50 degrees, and will cut to a depth of 42mm when bevelled to 45 degrees. It is supplied as a bare tool, without batteries or charger - ideal if you already own plenty of 18V XR power tools and their batteries, keeping costs lower. This saw is supplied with a 24 tooth ultra-thin kerf blade that further extends the cordless runtime of the machine while giving you fast cuts in wood.
