  This combi drill is extremely compact and therefore ideal for many tradesmen who may be working in tight and cramped conditions where a larger machine may be unsuitable. It comes with a side handle that features an incorporated easily adjustable depth stop - no more having to tape your drill bits! For screwdriving, the DHP458 has 21 clutch torque settings that lets you drive screws to the same depth one after the other reliably and quickly. For drilling you can select drilling mode to get maximum torque, or select hammer mode to activate the impacts for up to 30,000 blows per minute (thats 500 per second!). Runtime isn't a problem with this tool due to the fact that it uses LXT Lithium-ion batteries which have an extremely high energy density. This particular drill is sold body only to allow someone buying multiple tools, or who is already invested in the LXT 18v ecosystem to use their existing batteries without having to needlessly spend money on more batteries and chargers that they don't need - after all, you can only use one tool at a time!
