  With brushless motor technology the DCD796P2 compact hammer drill is offers improved speeds, runtime and durability thus requiring little to no maintenance. The second generation model is more compact and lightweight in comparison to its counterparts making it ideal for use within small spaces. The hammer drill incorporates a two speed all metal gear box for increased run time and longer tool life. The multiple two speed option gives more control to users and suits a wider range of screwdriving or drilling applications. Additional features include 15 mode torque settings for consistent screwdriving into a variety of materials and an intelligent trigger design allows for total application control. Dewalts ergonomic handle design with a rubber overmold reduces physical stress and improves overall comfort. The hammer drills Li-Ion battery packs allow for superior insertion and feature a state of charge indicator. A magnetic bit holder makes starting driving and drilling a lot easier while a belt hook makes for easy portability and transport.
