  This combi drill from DeWalt is the perfect balance between power and performance, weighing in at only 1.34kg. The 805 is the ideal upgrade away from the DCD796, beating many of its technical capabilities including wood drilling capacity and maximum torque level, both of which are closer to the previous generation premium combi drill, the DCD996. The DCD805 is capable of drilling up to a maximum diameter of 13mm in concrete, masonry and steel, and a maximum of 55mm in wood. This is thanks in part to the latest generation brushless motor, which DeWalt are constantly researching and developing as well as improving and iterating on. There is a 3 jaw all metal chuck which is operated by hand without the need for a key. The connection between the chuck and the motor is the gearbox, which in this case features an all-metal construction. There is a single sleeve torque/function adjustment ring which lets you select from 14 clutch engagement torques, disable the clutch, or engage the hammer functionality. On the foot of the drill are the LED work light which pivots, and its control switch for selection between 3 modes.
