The Metabo SXA 18 LTX 125 BL Cordless Random Orbital Sander is designed for professional surface preparation and finishing on wood, metal and other suitable materials. Its lightweight, low-profile design makes it well suited to joiners, cabinet makers, decorators, metal fabricators and maintenance technicians who need controlled sanding across flat surfaces, edges and workpieces in the workshop or on site.
Powered by a brushless motor, the sander combines efficient material removal with smooth, low-vibration operation. Its 125 mm sanding pad has a 2mm orbit diameter, while the variable no-load speed of 4,000–10,000 rpm allows the sanding action to be adjusted to suit different materials and finishing requirements. Soft start helps reduce surface marks when placing the machine onto the workpiece.
The multi-hole hook-and-loop sanding pad supports effective dust extraction, and the supplied compact textile dust bag allows work to continue where a vacuum cleaner is not available. Alternatively, the sander can be connected to a suitable all-purpose vacuum cleaner using Metabo connection sleeve 630798000 (not included). A motor and sanding disc brake helps the machine stop quickly after use, while the removable protector safeguards adjacent surfaces from accidental contact with the sanding pad.
Part of the CAS (Cordless Alliance System), this 18V random orbital sander is compatible with battery packs from Metabo and other participating CAS brands. Supplied in a metaBOX 215 storage case, the package includes a multi-hole sanding pad, P120 hook-and-loop sanding sheet for wood and metal, removable protector, compact textile dust bag and hexagonal wrench. As a body only model, no battery or charger is included.
