  Makita 3mm Orbit 150mm RO Sander | XGT 40Vmax | BO004CG Bare Unit

  
  This sander is one of the first available sanders in the XGT 40Vmax range. Makita had a problem to solve before they could make a sander which accepts such a big battery (even at the smallest). That problem was weight and portability. Their solution; allow you to use the battery via a cord connected to the sander body. This allows the bare sander to be lighter than either a PV301D 12V sander/polisher or DBO180 18V RO sander each with the smallest battery installed.
  
  The sander has a 6 inch or 150mm diameter base which uses hook and loop fastening and has more dust extraction holes than ever before. This makes it perfect for use with the net style sanding discs which work great when the sander is hooked up to a dust extractor. The other advantage of hooking up a dust extractor is that you can run the battery cord along with the dust hose, especially easily thanks to the included elasticated cable/hose strap which you can also use on your arm.
  
  This is the bare unit version, meaning it doesn't come with a battery or charger, perfect if you already have 40Vmax XGT Li-ion battery packs. In the box is the above-mentioned cable strap, the removable battery connecter cable, the sander itself, a dust bag and a extraction adaptor. Also included is a pad saver; this acts as a sacrificial piece that stops the main base being worn away when using the net type sanding sheets.
