  Makita 5mm Orbit 150mm RO Sander | XGT 40Vmax | BO002CG Bare Unit

  
  This is the 150mm pad diameter version of the large orbit (5mm) RO sander in the 40Vmax XGT range. It uses a remote battery connected via an included cable. This allows you to set the battery on your dust extractor, running the cord along the extraction hose, or attached to your belt, with the cord running along your arm. To run the cord easier, there is a strap/clip included in the box.
  
  This is the -Z version of the sander which comes without batteries or charger, being fully compatible with any 40Vmax XGT Li-ion battery from 2.0Ah up to 8.0Ah and beyond. Included in the box are a dust extraction adaptor, a filtered dust box, the cable strap, the battery cable, a pad saver and a net-type sanding sheet.
  
  The base of the sander is designed with many more holes than previous generation sanders. This is to allow more airflow when connected to dust extractors. To further improve this, the BO00X range of sanders has been made with net type sanding sheets in mind, which have a mesh which allows sawdust to be pulled into the dust extractor. This stops the sanding sheet becoming clogged, and also allows more a more consistent sanding finish.
