  Makita 5mm Orbit 125mm RO Sander | XGT 40Vmax | BO001CG Bare Unit

  
  Makita have solved the issue of a heavy battery on a cordless sander by creating an interchangeable cord which connects between the tool and the battery pack. This is especially ideal if you are using your sander with a dust hose, as the cord can run along with the hose and sit on your extractor. Alternatively, if you are using a dust bag for sanding, you can attach the battery pack to your belt thanks to the included belt clip.
  
  The new range of BO00XCG sanders are as follows: BO001CG has a 125mm pad with an ordit of 5mm, the BO002CG has a 150mm pad with an orbit of 5mm. The BO003 has a 125mm pad with a smaller orbit of 3mm, and the BO004 has the larger 150mm pad and a 3mm orbit. The BO005 has a 80 x 130mm square paper size and an orbit of 3mm, and finally the BO006 has a delta paper size of 100 x 150mm with the 3mm orbit.
  
  This -Z version of the tool comes without a battery or charger, but does come with the cord that connects the battery to the tool. Due to moving the battery, as well as battery attachment hardware, from the machine to the other end of a cord, these tools are lighter in the hand than even an 18V cordless sander with the lightest battery installed. This makes sanding vertical surfaces or surfaces above you much less tiresome. Another advantage is that you can use a large 8.0Ah battery for example with no weight penalty.
