  Makita Cordless Single Battery 40Vmax XGT Cut Off Saw | 9" Blade | CE003GZ02 Bare Unit

  
  A 9 inch diameter cutoff saw that only requires a single 40Vmax XGT battery to operate. It does not come with a battery, unless you select to include one of the Makita Power Source kits (each supplied in a MakPac case). The saw comes with a 230mm diameter metal & inox (stainless steel) cutting disc, which can be swapped out for a range of 230mm (22.23mm bore) discs to cut other materials such as diamond discs for cutting concrete and stone.
  
  The disc cutter operates at 6,600 rpm with no load, and has AFT to monitor the speed of the motor and cut power to prevent injury during a bind-up. You can make a cut depth up to 88mm, beating the competition by 5mm. Also included in the box is a water-stop hose adaptor which you can use with ordinary garden hose or alternatively connect it to a knapsack sprayer if there is no mains water available.
  
  The water is fed to both sides of the blade via the top guard. This firstly allows the blade to run cooler which allows higher performance. It also lets the concrete mix with the water to create an abrasive slurry for more improvements to the cutting performance. But the best feature of the water supply is that it suppresses most of the dust created when cutting, allowing for a safer work site.
