  Makita Cordless Earth Auger | DG001G Bare Unit

  
  Featuring an extremely high torque brushless DC motor, this earth auger operates at up to 40 Volts thanks to the XGT battery platform. This kit is not supplied with a battery or charger making it the ideal choice if you already have XGT batteries, but a kitted version is available by searching our site for DG001GD.
  
  In high torque mode, the auger operates at 400 rpm, making up to 136 Nm of torque; and in higher speed mode, it operates at 1,500 rpm producing 55 Nm. There is a powerful keyed 3 jaw chuck, and a pair of included auger bit adaptors that chuck into the machine and accept either Makita-specific auger bits, or industry standard auger bits.
  
  When in use, the U-handle is wide apart from the trigger handle, giving you excellent mechanical advantage over the torque produced by the machine. As well as the handles, there is also a support at 90 degrees from the unit, which can be braced against your leg or hip to further counter the torque.
