    DeWalt XR FlexVolt 500mm Chainsaw | DCMCS575 Bare Unit


    This chainsaw features a full length 50cm bar. This allows it to be used for some serious professional tree surgery. The motor that drives the chain is a brushless DC motor which is incredibly efficient. It operates at 54 Volts, and the DCMCS575 is part of the XR FlexVolt range from DeWalt.

    There is an onboard automatic oiling system that keeps the chain and bar lubricated to maintain sharper teeth and improve cutting performance. The DCMCS575 runs much more quietly than an equivalent petrol machine, and can also be used without issue where there may be environmental/smog concerns.

    Another advantage of the brushless electric motor is that it is capable of delivering full torque at 0 rpm. It is also easier to control the operating speed, which allows the motor ot monitor the load and therefore increase power to maintain a constant cutting speed.
