  Makita Top-Handle Variable Speed Cordless 40Vmax XGT Jigsaw | JV002G Bare Unit In Case

  
  This jigsaw from Makita is a top-handle design, popular among most DIYers and tradesmen. It operates on the 40Vmax XGT Lithium-ion battery platform, but this version is supplied without batteries or charger, allowing a lower price for those who already own other XGT tools and therefore have compatible batteries. The tool is supplied in a Type 3 medium depth MakPac Connector Case, along with 2 HCS fast blades, 2 HSS blades, 2 HCS clean cut blades, a dust extraction port, and anti-splinter insert. The dust extraction port is a fantastic design that sits alongside the cut line, and is capable of being placed to the right or left due to a symmetrical design and smart single thumb-fixing location. The jigsaw blades can be quickly swapped without the need for tools, as can the oscillation mode (straight/pendulum). There is a safety switch on top, and a lock-on switch on the side. To adjust the angle up to 45 degrees left or right, you can use the hex key that is stored onboard. The speed of the motor can be adjusted via a dial on the side through 1 to 6.
