  Makita Barrel Grip Brushless 18V LXT Jigsaw | DJV185 Bare Unit

  
  A machine that features a brushless DC motor for greater power, better battery runtime, and virtually no motor maintenance. This saw runs on 18 Volt LXT battery packs which use Lithium-ion chemistry for an extremely energy dense power pack. This version of the DJV185 is supplied without batteries, aimed at those who already own them, allowing this version to cost less.
  
  The DJV185 is a barrel grip style jigsaw which doesn't have the bulky top-handle. Top handles often get in the way blocking your view while you're trying to make a cut. Many people also prefer the more direct control you get with a barrel grip jigsaw. This saw is variable speed, as well as adjustable pendulum. To help you see the work area there is an LED work light, and you can attach dust extraction to efficiently remove sawdust.
