  Makita 18V Brushless 5" Angle Grinder

  
  This angle grinder from Makita's 18 Volt LXT range takes 125mm diameter (or 5 inch) grinding discs. There are advanced electronics in the DGA504 that allow you to use the tool in a range of applications such as cutting, which would be high speed/low load, and grinding, which would be low speed/high load. The electronics can reduce the speed to allow higher torque in the higher load situations. There is also overload protection for when the load is too much, to prevent damage to both the brushless DC motor, and the Lithium-ion battery cells in the battery. This version of the grinder is supplied on its own, without a case, battery or charger. This makes it perfect as a cost-effective way to add to your collection of power tools, without getting more 18V LXT batteries than you already have or need.
