This battery powered strimmer runs from a single 5.0 Amp-hour capacity rechargeable 18 volt Lithium-ion battery pack (included) and can run in three different speeds, allowing you to balance between battery runtime and cutting speed. The trimmer is much quieter, especially on the low setting, than equivalent petrol machines, while still providing excellent power. The 18V LXT battery is the same one that powers hundreds of Makita power tools and garden tools, making this an excellent option for tradesmen who are already in the ecosystem, or the DIYer wanting a well supported cordless battery platform. The -L version of the DUR191 has a loop handle that is compact and easy to store, and the kit also includes a shoulder strap to make it more comfortable to hold the machine for longer periods of time.
