A fantastic versatile power tool triple pack which all run using the extremely popular 18 volt LXT batteries, of which there are four 5.0Ah capacity packs included with this kit. The saw and drill both use two batteries together in series to provide 36 volts to the motors, and the impact driver uses a single battery pack. These batteries can be quickly recharged with the twin port fast charger that is included.
The drill is the Makita model DHR264, which features a quick-change removable chuck that takes SDS Plus type drill bits. It can also take and operate chisel bits thanks to the machines rotation-stop mode, and the angle of the chisel can be held at one of 40 different settings. The drill comes with a large adjustable side handle with a built-in depth stop which makes it easier to control the power of the tool during drilling of large holes, up to 26mm with a bit and 65mm with a core.
The circular saw is Makita model DHS710, which takes a 190mm diameter saw blade and has a low profile die-cast magnesium base to allow a maximum cut thickness of 66mm. The saw can also easily bevel up to an angle of 50 degrees, where it can cut to a thickness of 44mm. The DHS710 has a blower that keeps dust away from the cut-line for better visibility, and is compatible with dust extraction systems to safely remove the sawdust from the material being cut.
The impact driver is Makita model DTD152, which has a 1/4" quick-release hex bit holder that lets you quickly and easily change between suitable screwdriver, nut driver and drill bits. The impact driver is compact and lightweight with an extremely functionally ergonomic handle with comfortable soft grip rubber overmoulding. The high performance brushed motor allows a maximum fastening torque of 165Nm.
The kit is supplied in three of Makita's excellent MakPac Connector Cases, two of which are the large Type 4 versions that are 31cm in height, and the third is the Type 3 that measures 21cm in height. All three cases stack and connect together so they can be picked up as one unit for easier transportation and storage. The three together have enough space for all three tools, the charger, four batteries and still have more room for accessories.
