DeWalt Straight Cutoff Saw | 76mm | 18V XR | DCG430 Bare Unit
This tool uses the same blades as the DCS438 cutoff saw, but has the spindle inline with the handle instead of at a 90 degree angle, which of course puts the blade at 90 degrees. This machine is inspired by workshop air cut-off tools, and even has a similar safety trigger. This allows it to be a direct replacement in a workshop wanting to replace a compressor with batteries.
DeWalt have developed a new ultra-slim brushless motor that fits entirely within the small body of the handle. It draws air in to the rear of the handle where the battery attached, and vents it forward away from the user. You can change the motor direction with a button near the battery, perfect when cutting a bolt near a fuel tank if you want the sparks to go in the other direction.
The DCG430 takes a 75/76mm diameter blade with 10mm diameter bore, and is even supplied with a bonded abrasive cutting disc plus a diamond cutting disc. The guard can be quickly adjusted for more flexibility with your cutting angle. The DCG430 is sold bare, without batteries or charger, but works with any 18V XR battery pack.
