  Makita Steel Deck 460mm Lawnmower | 2x18V = 36V | DLM460 Bare Unit

  This high performance garden machine from Makita uses their very common LXT battery packs. These 18 Volt packs use Lithium-ion chemistry and are by far the most common battery on the market, being released all the way back in 2005. The DLM460 takes advantage of two batteries at the same time, allowing the motor to run at over 36 Volts, which is also much more efficient in high torque applications such as that of driving a lawnmower blade.
  
  The mower has a safety key in the battery compartment, meaning you can quickly and easily make the machine safe, even with the batteries in. This makes it much safer to clean the inside of the deck for example, and also allows for safer storage between uses.
  
  The deck is manufactured from steel, and is height adjustable between 20mm and 75mm. The width is 460mm, making it the perfect balance of cutting capacity and portability. This machine would be ideal for gardens between 800 and 1600 square metres.
