    Makita Diamond Core Drill


    This powerful corded machine from Makita has a 13mm keyed chuck suitable for accepting diamond cores up to a diameter of 152mm. The 8406 is available as a 110 Volt site-ready model or 230 Volt AC version. They draw 850 Watts of power giving a no-load speed of 1,500 rpm. The drill also features a hammer function allowing it to be used as a rotary hammer drill. In this mode it can drill up to 20mm hole with a masonry drill bit. When the hammer is disabled, you can use it to drill into wood up to 30mm diameter, and 13mm in steel.
