Makita 1/4" & 3/8" Router | 40Vmax XGT | 2 x 2.5Ah Batteries
This kit from Makita's XGT range features their latest router/trimmer, now powered by a 40 Volt battery pack for better performance. Versus the DRT50, the RT001 increases the output power from 800 Watts to 1,160 Watts, and increases the speed from 30,000 rpm to 31,000 rpm. Where the 18V router would require a slow and steady push through material, especially manufactured boards such as MDF or chipboard, the 40Vmax just ploughs through without needing to engage the overload protection or bogging down. Another great change is the addition of a wireless tool control chip (sold-separately) port, so your compatible dust extractor can start and stop automatically.
