Makita Impact Driver & Combi Drill Twin Pack | With 2 x 5.0Ah 18V Batteries
This premium twin pack from Makita includes two of their most advanced 18 Volt power tools, part of the long-standing LXT range of Lithium-ion powered machines. The combi drill is the model DHP486, a beast with so much torque it needs a side handle longer than the tool itself. The impact driver is the intelligent DTD172 that has so many modes that you might actually need to refer to the manual. The kit is supplied in a Systainer compatible MakPac Connector case.
The DHP486 combi drill has a soft joint fastening torque of 65 Nm, and a hard joint torque of 130 Nm - making it the most powerful 18 Volt drill we sell. This huge torque and the 13mm keyless chuck allows you to drill 13mm in steel, 16mm in masonry and a ludicrous 76mm diameter in wood.
The DTD172 impact driver has 8 modes to choose from which include a combination of 4 force modes to control max impact rate and rotation rate, plus 4 applications modes; wood, which starts slow to prevent wobble or cam-out during initial drive; bolt mode which helps prevent dropping nuts by stopping rotation after it breaks loose; then thin and thick tek-screw modes.
