  Makita Cordless Back-to-Wall Sliding Compound Mitre Saw | LS004G

  
  Featuring a powerful brushless DC motor operating at 40 Volts and rotating at up to 3,600 rpm, this excellent professional grade mitre saw takes a 260mm diameter saw blade. This allows you to cut material up to 68mm by 310mm, great for a large range of applications such as skirting and architrave.
  
  The kit comes with a fast charger which can recharge 2.5 Amp-hour batteries in just 28 minutes, or the larger 4.0Ah battery in only 45 minutes. The batteries in the 40Vmax range use high density Lithium-ion cell chemistry, and have electronics built-in that protect both the battery and the tool during charging and usage.
  
  The LS004G has slide rails that come towards the user, instead of out the rear of the machine. This means that you can place the mitre saw much closer to a wall, and don't need a very deep workbench in order to use it. You can select to include one of three different mitre saw stands, depending on the required width.
  
  This machine is compatible with AWS, which is Makita's Auto-start Wireless System. It uses Bluetooth technology to communicate wirelessly with compatible dust extraction systems, allowing extraction to start when you press the trigger on the mitre saw. This adds both convenience and productivity to the job site.
  
  When turning the base, you can rely on the positive stops to allow it to snap to common angles, or use a lever to override this and get exact angles if required. To illuminate the work area, there is a powerful LED light. This light also casts a shadow of the blade on the workpiece, which acts as your guideline for the cut.
