Black & Decker GD300 30cm Lawn Raker & GL9035 35cm Strimmer
These two corded power tools are each excellent additions to your garden tool arsenal. The strimmer has a removable cord that makes it easier to pack away. The 35cm cutting swath allows strimming of large areas of grass or tough brush. It comes with both a standard strimmer line reel and a special holder for HDL (Heavy Duty Line) lines which are more durable than standard strimmer line. The curved shaft makes it easier to keep the strimmer line flat against the ground, but the shaft can also be rotated around 180°. This allows you to use the built-in roller wheel to follow along an edge and get a consistent height, ideal when edging flowerbeds etc. The lawnraker is rated at 600 Watts and is also corded. It has three height settings, allowing you to adjust it for the required operation. At the highest setting it would be ideal for lifting leaves it the Autumn, and at lower settings it can remove uglier horizontal grass and moss. The lawnraker works on a 30cm wide section at a time, and is used much the same as a lawnmower.
