  Makita 18V Brushless Drywall Sander | 225mm/9" | DSL801ZU Bare Unit

  
  This tool has been created specifically for drywall installers as it allows very large surfaces to be sanded smooth much quicker than alternative methods. The machine uses a brushless motor mounted directly on the head for the greatest efficiency possible. The head articulates as you move the shaft of the unit so that it is in constant flat contact with the surface, giving the user the freedom to use the tool at a comfortable angle. As well as this, the pipe shaft of the DSL801 can be extended from 1.1m to 1.5m. Dust extraction is important when doing this much sanding, so Makita included their AWS - Auto-Start Wireless System which interfaces with Makita's Bluetooth dust extraction systems to automatically run dust extraction while the sander is on. For better user comfort, the machine has a soft start feature to reduce unpleasant jolts, and a lock-on function so you don't need to constantly hold a switch. The DSL801 differs from the previous generation DSL800 in that it has a completely round brush for improved dust capture during sanding.
