This high performance jigsaw from Makita has a functionally ergonomic design that uses the LXT battery platform of Lithium-ion batteries. This particular product comes without a battery or charger, allowing people already enrolled in the Makita LXT ecosystem to save money by using their existing batteries and chargers. To help with working in badly lit areas, in a customer's house or on site for example, there is a high intensity LED worklight that illuminates the cutting area making it safer. The machine uses a high performance motor that can drive the blade up to a maximum of 2600 strokes per minute. This allows you to cut up to 10mm thickness in mild steel and up to 135mm thick in timber. For ease of use this DIY & professional grade jigsaw features tool-free blade change, a cut-line blower and soft start motor.
