I am very pleased with my new Ash Vac and with Ray Grahams. The vac arrived (in Wiltshire) within 48 hours of ordering. Excellent service. Yes, one can buy cheaper vacs, but this one works really well, is solidly built and is, I think, real value for money. What a difference it makes to cleaning up ash from woodburners and open fires. No more clouds of dust, just a simple job in a short time. I recommend both the vac and Ray Grahams. Buy with confidence.

I have had an Ashvac for a number of years.It is the most valuable house appliance I have ever bought! I burn turf in a stove; without the Ashvac cleaning out the stove is a messy business as turf ash is light and no matter how careful one is, the ash goes everywhere ...with it, no mess, the ash goes straight into the Ashvac. Recently it just stopped working. I ordered and got a new filter from Ray's shop on line, which I fitted - the Ashvac still didn't work! As it is a number of years old, I assumed its life had come to an end. I went on line again to order a new one, but first read the review by another customer (review 21 above). With nothing to lose I looked at the motor as she had been advised to do, and loo and behold there was a loose wire - without any difficulty I was able to replace it and too my delight, my Ashvac came to life again! Without the advise given to the other customer, I would have spent a lot of money replacing my Ashvac. Thank you to Gavin who organizes the online shop, and to whoever it is that gave the above advice to the other customer - and therefore to me. Extremely efficient company. i will buy from it again if need be.

I purchased this De Vielle Ash Vac last October. It arrived the day after I placed the order which was a great surprise. All I can say is that this product is fantastic, I use it to clean out cold ash from my open fire and my solid fuel range. I have use it to remove soot from the solid fuel cooker and it makes an easy job of one that used to cause alot of dust and dirt. This ash vac is really powerful and I don't have to empty it for a few days even though I have two fires going. I am so pleased that I purchased this ash vac so you can imagine my despair when I plugged it in and turned it on and nothing happened. After checking the fuse and turning it on and off I was distraught to find that still it wouldn't work. So I emailed the company and promptly got a reply from a lovely man who advised me that there may be a loose wire in the motor. I followed his instructions and hey presto my ash vac is back in action! Thank you Ray Grahams you are a great company with fantastic products, really quick delivery and excellent customer care, what more could a customer ask for. This is one very happy customer.

Purchased unit last week and have used it since. Excellent product well designed and efficient - the days of clouds of dust as I clean the fire are past. Some users have commented on the lack of facility to wind up cable - it is not a problem if the cable is wound up and secured using the Velcro cable tie supplied finally securing it to the unit handle - problem solved. Finally delivery was the most efficient service I have experienced living in the remote Scottish Highlands. Overall 100%

Excellent service, received De Vielle 25 litre ash vacuum cleaner, so far, only used it a couple of times, but very impressed, lots of suction, easy to use, the triple filter system is very efficient. It certainly makes light work of cleaning out the multi fuel burner, cuts dust down to a minimum.

What can you say? The Item arrived sooner than expected considering that it came from Ireland and we are in the Highlands of Scotland (the dreaded IV postcode that some firms make such a fuss about). It was well packaged and the price was the best we could find. All in all I would say Grahams are a good outfit.
The De Vielle product is excellent. We have a multifuel stove and burn Blazers wood briguettes and Lignite briquettes. The ash from the Lignite is quite heavy and the briquettes produce quite a lot of it compared to the Blazers. The De Vielle vac deals with it in a trice, I just open the stove door, vac the chamber out then slip the ash pan nearly all the way out and suck that all out. No dust,no fuss. I shake the big filter without removing it a couple of times in the week just to loosen the dust that clings to the filter, and empty the vac once a week. An easy process but one that is definitely best performed outside. The vac is powerful and really well built and the triple filtering dual chamber design is so worth the money. I am really pleased we bought this one rather than cheaper models we looked at.

I am delighted with the De Vielle 25 litre ash vacuum cleaner. Its large enough to hold a few days worth of fire ashes before needing emptied, its light, well made and has good suction. My open fire is cleaned in 30 seconds. I ordered it on wednesday and received it on Friday. The person who took my order was friendly and informative. Well done

I am reviewing only after couple of uses, but so far it looks great doing job which is expected. Easy cleaning of the filter. Only the hose is a bit short and the nozzle is also shorter than one would wish, but apart of that it coped with all tasks so far.
Delivery of the item was very quick, within 2 days. I can recommend honestly Ray Graham company and also De Ville Ash vacuum.

Have use the machine intensively for a month and am delighted. Good capacity, strong and consistent vacuum, no hint of dust. Emptying and cleaning simple. I agree with the two slight issues re cord tidy and length of hose end. There was a small manufacturing fault in my particular item but this was sorted efficiently and courteously by Ray Grahams so I will settle for an excellent overall score.
Will use Ray Graham again.

excellent service and excellent product
Two minor criticisms with the vac,
1/ The aluminum section is not long enough for my log burner it fits in the ash area up to the pipe section then wont go in any further but if you have a large opening it wont be a problem.
2/ Nowhere to coil either the hose or the electric cable, its not very stowage friendly.
Other than that it works well woulkd have given it five stars if not for above.

What a difference owning one of these makes! No more crawling around in clouds of ash with a dustpan or clogging up the hand vac filter. We chose this model and seller after some careful research and have not been disappointed. Delivery and customer service were excellent and packaging secure.

Fantastic delivery - I ordered ash vac online, received an email from Parcel Force with tracking number the same day and received my ash vac the following day! Brilliant service and friendly staff.
I ordered the Deville Ash Vac as friends had warned me that using your own hoover with a filter vacuum would leave a smell of soot in the house for weeks, as the filter vac does allow some soot and ashes into your own hoover. I did attempt to do a test run with the filter vacuum but I own a Dyson hoover and the hose would not fit into the filter ash vac.
The Deville Ash Vac proved powerful enough to suc up ashes and soot from my range. As expected the vacuum needs to be switched off frequently during use in order to clear the filter with the red pump button. However it did the job and the ash vac was clean after use and easy to empty. Plus, no smells!
