The HiKOKI NR1890DCB 18V cordless framing nailer delivers fast, gas-free paper-collated strip nailing for structural timber construction. Built for first-fix carpentry, roof trusses, and timber framing, this tool removes the ongoing running costs and regular servicing associated with gas cartridge nailers. It fires 30-degree to 34-degree paper-collated nails directly into dense softwood and hardwood timber components without needing hoses, compressors, or fuel cells.
Powered by a high-efficiency brushless motor and HiKOKI Air Spring Drive System+, the nailer fires between 4.5 and 5 nails per second. The sealed air chamber uses compressed air to drive each fix, resetting quickly for fast sequential or bump-fire placement. It accepts 50mm to 90mm clipped-head nails with shank diameters from 2.8mm to 3.3mm. A tool-free depth adjuster makes setting flush or countersunk nail heads quick and repeatable across changing timber densities.
Compared to the previous generation NR1890DCA, the NR1890DCB features a 400 gram lighter body, dropping total bare weight to 3.3kg for reduced shoulder strain during overhead work. The updated magnesium alloy nose piece includes aggressive spike teeth to prevent slipping when skew nailing studs. An updated control panel sits clearly on top of the handle, while an interchangeable magazine system allows rapid conversion to optional long-strip, duplex, or metal connector magazines.
This NR1890DCBJPZ kit comes complete with two 18V 5.0Ah MultiVolt batteries, a UC18YSL3 rapid charger, safety glasses, and a heavy-duty HSC IV carry case. Integrated dry-fire lockout prevents driver pin damage when the magazine empties down to the last few nails. It is ready for immediate deployment on site for studwork framing, floor joist installation, timber cladding, and roof battening.
