  1500mm Guide Rail for DeWalt Plunge Saws | New Version | DWS5059

  
  This is the newer guide rail for DeWalt plunge saws. It is backwards compatible with their older plunge saws, as well as the new DCS525 18V machine. It has all the features you have come to expect from the previous generation DWS5022 that the DWS5059 replaces, as well as improvements such as; the addition of bump stops at each end to help reduce the chances of damage if knocking it against something. These end guards also help stop either the cord or vacuum hose getting snagged on the ends. There are also newer high and low friction strips with better adhesive and longer lasting rubber.
  
  In addition to these improvements, the guide rails have all the same features of the older rails, including; the ability to use the rail on each side. Actually, this is one of the biggest bonuses of DeWalt guide rails over the competition - you can use one side of the rail to calibrate the zero-clearance edge strip to your plunge saw, and the other to calibrate to a rail-compatible circular saw - or maybe a different type of blade, or 45 degree bevel cuts. Multiple tracks can be joined together using the new joining bar set DE5092 for a much tighter and more accurate fit.
