Supplied with a battery and charger, this spot vac from Kaercher solves one of the most frustrating parts of using them - the cord. This is completely cordless in use, and uses the included battery pack to operate. The battery operates at 18 Volts, and the size of the battery supplied is 2.5 Amp-hours.
A fully charged battery will allow the machine to operate for approximately 12 minutes. Once finished, you can put the battery on the included mains charger, which can fully charge an empty battery in under two hours.
The powerful vacuum motor in this spot cleaner is rated at 184 Watts, allowing it to suck up the soiled cleaning fluid efficiently. This kit is supplied with a 100ml sachet of Kärcher's RM 519 carpet cleaning detergent, which we stock in larger 1 litre bottles.
You dilute the solution in the clean water tank with hot (50C) water, and simultaneously spray and vacuum. For more stubborn soiling spray on, allow to dwell, then vacuum. You can watch the clear vacuum nozzle as the visibly dirty water gets sucked out of the fibres of the fabric.
The dirty water tank can be lifted out of the machine and emptied easily. Once cleaning is finished, you can use the self-clean port to wash the vacuum hose of dirty water - reducing the chances of smells from bacterial growth.
